File Contents

The download above includes a variety of file types. Let's break them down:

  • AI (.ai): AI is an Adobe Illustrator file, which means it is easy to edit within Adobe Illustrator. If your institution doesn't use the Adobe suite, there are some aspects of an AI image file that can be edited with third-party applications. Check out this Adobe resource to learn what an AI file is and how it can be edited or saved without Illustrator.

  • PNG (.png): Since PNG is an open file format, it is compatible for edits in a large variety of programs—GIMP, Paint, or Adobe Photoshop Express are all options.
